Blog Improvement Project

Kim over at Sophisticated Dorkiness is offering a different kind of event for 2009: the Blog Improvement Project, which she writes about here.

Basically, the first and third Monday of every month, she'll present a project for improving your blog: design, layout, writing, increasing readership, setting goals, and so on. There is no obligation to participate in every project.

I'm sure that at least some of the ideas will fit my goals, and I'm always open to learning new things. It'll be interesting to see what tips and tricks we can share throughout the year.

I'm thinking of doing this too.

As you know, I also signed myself up for Kim's blogging project and I am excited to see how much I will be able to participate, what I think I can use etc. Its going to be really interesting.

I should have mentioned that I discovered this project through Bogsider's blog. I wasn't thinking clearly when I wrote the post this morning!

Through the Sophisticated Dorkiness blog and a comment on there, I stumbled upong this other project: http://chuckwestbrook.com/great-content-no-readers/

I immediately signed up and am now having second thoughts, LOL. It seems super-professional to me, and my little booky-blog is not near any of those blogs featured there at all. But I thought I'd post the link anyway, as it is kinda interesting!

Louise: not sure about that last link. I'll have to think about. Not sure my limited blog would fit in. On the other hand, I haven't ruled out the possibility of signing up.

Beth, I am not sure at all either about that project I posted a link to. Initially I saw it as a little project, but after I signed up, I noticed that I was number 700 or something signing up and then I checked out some of the blogs featured and my gosh, they are way over my abilities (thinking and writing abilities) so..yes...I have second thoughts. But I put it in my google reader, and will read more carefully through some of the posts there, maybe it is not that "dangerous". I am still signed up at Kim's/Sophisticated Dorkiness. That project may be more up my alley ;-)

Louise: great idea. I think I'll follow along too and see what it's all about. My blogging goals fit Kim's project more closely.

What a great idea! Kim will have lots of great tips and "tasks" for us, I'm sure.
