Oh, gorgeous! I love how if you take a picture of something ordinary very close up like this, it becomes extraordinary.

Melissa 8/12/09, 11:12 AM

I love sunflowers and the field of them here are still pretty, though they are starting to droop.

Indrani 8/12/09, 12:24 PM

Beautiful sunflower!

I have a bouquet of garden flowers on my table right now: yellow and red, with one sunflower in. They really brighten the room.

LOVE sunflowers! We grew some last year, but too busy to fool with them this year...what a shame too.

Barbara 8/12/09, 3:03 PM

Pretty! There's a bunch of sunflowers growing wild across the street from McDonalds of all places.

Gabriel 8/12/09, 5:38 PM

LifeRamblings 8/12/09, 7:44 PM

Karen Harrington 8/12/09, 9:06 PM

Wonderful. That could be a still from a nature film!

SandyCarlson 8/12/09, 9:06 PM

Perfect. Wonderful. Beautiful.

Will 8/12/09, 9:07 PM

Beautiful closeup. I grew a variety of sunflower this year that has no pollen. Kind of nice as it does not drop on the table like the other varieties. There is not much choice in the pollen-less varieties though, so I also have others that are messy.

Chrisbookarama 8/12/09, 10:55 PM

Okay, that's a much cooler shot than mine!

J.G. 8/12/09, 10:57 PM

I am just now getting around to returning your visit re: the Themed Reading Challenge. Nice to meetcha!

P.S. This pollen close-up is wonderful! Sunflowers are my favorite.

Sandra 8/13/09, 3:10 PM

Wow, you're good. I can feel the pollen tickling my nose.
