BBAW: Wrap-Up and Winners!

BBAW is over for another year, and Amy and crew deserve a standing ovation and fifteen minutes of applause for the fabulous job they did pulling the even together. I'd also like to thank all the individuals and companies who offered support in so many ways.

I just saw a fantastic wrap-up post by Kathy of Bermuda Onion Weblog and I loved her format so much I decided to steal borrow it. She asks: What did you learn this week?

♦ There are a ton of terrific book blogs out there, and I clearly need to do more exploring.

♦ Pretty much everyone has some kind of organizing system for their books . . . except me.

♦ No matter what your favorite genre, there are other blook bloggers with your same tastes.

♦ The book blogging community, publishing industry, and related businesses and individuals are amazingly generous with their time and with giveaways.

♦ I have absolutely no resistance to books . . . My name (isn't really) Beth Fish and I'm a bookaholic.

The Winners of my BBAW Giveaways

For each giveaway, I used random.org to pick the winner from among the valid entries. All winners have been notified by email.

Monday (lace bookmark): Penny of Penny's Pages

Tuesday (Cutting Loose and Love Is a Four-Letter Word): Emily of Fantasy Fairytales Retold

Wednesday (The Lake That Stole Children, Wally the Walking Fish, and Fairy Hunters, Ink): Lucyinthesky

Thursday (Stone's Fall and Blame): Barb from Meditative Reading

Friday (Dreams of the Dead and New Stories from the South): Dorte H from DJs Krimblog

Future Giveaways

I will be giving away another handmade lace bookmark during the fall Read-a-Thon, so I hope you will be participating. Now I just have to come up with a good challenge . . .

Thanks again to Amy and everyone involved with BBAW and congrats to the winners of my giveaways.

Great post! Even though I didn't win any of your prizes, you are still one of my faves :)

Great wrap up, Beth. I'll join you in saying "I'm a bookaholic" :)

Congratulations to all your winners.

Ditto - Amy and the crew deserve a big standing ovation.

That exploring thing is so dangerous! It's so easy to spend all day reading blogs.

Kailana 9/19/09, 1:04 PM

I actually saw a lot of people with no organizing system at all for their books. That baffles me... How do you know where to find things? I go right to it because I know where everything is!

Julie P. 9/19/09, 1:38 PM

Loved Kathy's post and yours too!

Dorte H 9/19/09, 1:43 PM

Thank you so much for your very generous giveaway!
Winning a book is like Christmas - both when you win it, and when the parcel arrives :D

Nise' 9/19/09, 3:32 PM

Congrats to all the winners. I don't want to build up a resistance to books! LOL

Don't feel bad Beth the Bookaholic. I have no orgnizational system for my books either. They are a complete, choatic mess. And I love it.

Jenners 9/19/09, 8:37 PM

BBAW was a blast ... but I'm too tired to do a wrap-up!! I picked my winners and did the bare minimum to list them! : )

trishalynn0708 9/19/09, 9:08 PM

Congrats to the winners!

Alyce 9/19/09, 10:59 PM

Congrats to the winners!

I'm excited just thinking about the fall readathon (although tired from BBAW at this point and glad that there is a break in between the two). :) I really hope that things work out so that I can participate this time. Life has gotten in the way of the past three readathons.

I really love that you won best new book blog. A million congratulations, and also a million million thanks to you for all that you did to make the week so glorious.

Take a little rest now.

Just a little..

I have NO organization. I should take a picture of my bookshelf to show you just how little there really is. Piles and piles and piles....that's about it. haha

I agree with your sentiment on generosity. I didn't even try to enter giveaways (with the exception of Bart's which you won!) and Scholastic's Twitter-way on Friday because there were just so many of them I couldn't possibly wade through it all.

I'm proud to have been able to participate this year. Amy did a fabulous job of putting together a wonderful event!

I am getting used to the idea of the October read-a-thon! I blocked my calendar so I think I might join :)

This was my first BBAW and I didn't have much time to participate (I learnt that I have a job as well LOL) but it was fun anyway!
