Challenge: What's in a Name? 3 (I'm Hosting!)

I've bitten the bullet and I'm going to host the 2010 What's in a Name? 3 Challenge. For the history of this challenge, to learn why I decided to host it, and to sign up for it, check out the brand new What's in a Name 3 blog.

Here's the challenge in brief: Between January 1 and December 31, 2010, read one book in each of the following categories:

  1. A book with a food in the title.
  2. A book with a body of water in the title.
  3. A book with a title (queen, president, sir) in the title.
  4. A book with a plant in the title.
  5. A book with a place name (country, city) in the title.
  6. A book with a music term in the title.
I have created a blog dedicated to this challenge, where you will find the complete rules and the Mr. Linky for signing up.

I hope you have room in your challenge schedule to join in the fun. This is one of my favorite challenges.

I'm impressed by the number of challenges that you are running! I hope that you find some good books and lots of people to join you in the challenge.

I didn't do so well with this one last year but I love the creativity of this challenge so may give it another go.

Good for you! I'll have to write down the rules and see if I can make these work with the list I've started!

Wasn't this one of the challenges that got you started blogging? I love the scavenger hunt aspect of it.

Sweet! I'm signing up for this one.

Really enjoyed this challenge last year! Glad to see your hosting it, so it can continue. :)

I've just had a quick look at my shelves and it looks like I can do this one and keep to my self-imposed rule that all challenges must be able to be completed most from my TBR pile. So look out for a signup post from me in the next couple of days!

I have enjoyed this challenge the last couple of years so I'm glad to see that someone picked it up from Annie!

I'm so excited you're keeping this one alive by hosting it this year. I love it. And I am totally psyched by the requirement to pick a book with a body of water in the title. I am a sucker for bodies of water so it will only be hard for me to narrow my choices down!

I'm so glad you are hosting this challenge. I didn't get it in on it this year but thought it looked great and I will definitely be in for 2010!

Hi Beth! I've decided to sign up for this challenge and my post will be up by tomorrow. This is going to be fun! :)

This one sounds cute! I'm still on the fence though. Not doing very well with Reading Challenges.

Dorte H 12/1/09, 10:43 AM

Of course we have room! I am in :D

Jenners 12/1/09, 8:01 PM

This sounds interesting and relatively doable. I'll review what I have to read and see if I'm going to sign up!

I'm thinking about joining you for this one too. In looking at the categories I know of three I plan to read. The other three categories will be, well, a challenge. And I guess that's what it's all about.

Serena 12/3/09, 10:12 AM

sounds like an interesting challenge.

Lisa 12/3/09, 8:34 PM

Sounds like fun and I think I can work it in well with my other challenges. I'm heading over to sign up.

I haven't done this challenge before, but if you're hosting I may just have to!

Melissa 12/4/09, 12:53 PM

This isn't one I've done before, but I think I am going to give it a try this year.

Michelle 12/5/09, 12:57 PM

I've still got to post up to Mr. Linky on your challenge blog but you know I'm totally there for this!

YAY! That's great Beth! I've been contemplating whether I should take over the challenge from Annie because it would be such a shame if it wasn't continued. You're the best!
