I like his look.

caite 9/1/10, 5:07 AM

gosh, he looks like he has something to say...something a little creepy.

Eleanor 9/1/10, 7:24 AM

I love the colors here, and that horse has a whole lot of personality going on, too!

amandab 9/1/10, 8:03 AM

I love the way you framed that :)

Happy WW!

Beth 9/1/10, 8:15 AM

He's dropping in to say "hello, and who might you be?!"

Susan Adcox 9/1/10, 8:47 AM

All right, this is just awesome. I love the way the knot in the wood repeats the shape of the eye. Excellent composition.

Beth Hoffman 9/1/10, 9:11 AM

I know that horse! Yep. That's Mr. Ed's great, great grandson! What did he have to say?

Fantastic photo.

Rural View 9/1/10, 10:14 AM

Horses are so curious about people. This guy looks like he's being coy because of the camera. Wonderful composition and color.

auntie-c 9/1/10, 10:17 AM

Oh, I like this guy. He's got a bit of "wanna join me in mischief?" going on!

Secret Mom Thoughts 9/1/10, 10:33 AM

Great shot. I love the composition.

Meg 9/1/10, 10:41 AM

Love the shot! I agree that it's quite the mischievous expression.

Aerie-el 9/1/10, 11:07 AM

Very nice. It's like looking at many eyes (the knots in the wood behind) with a soft color palette. Lovely.

catsynth 9/1/10, 11:36 AM

That is quite a gaze - very expressive.
(I also like his color against the wood background.)

Margaret Almon 9/1/10, 11:47 AM

The patterning of the wood and the horse is so cool! I love textural contrast.

Stan 9/1/10, 12:58 PM

Very nice. You've got a good eye for composition and the unusual perspective.

The Bumbles 9/1/10, 1:40 PM

I'm sure that you framed this shot this way on purpose. If it had been me, I would have been trying for a fully framed head shot and the horsey would have moved and I would have ended up with this awesome composition by accident - except it would have been blurry ;0)

He reminds me of the play Equus.

Robin 9/1/10, 3:55 PM

He's got that "whatchu talkin' bout Willis" look on his face LOL.

I'll be looking forward to your Maine photos - have a great trip!

What a great look! You really have an eye for color and composition ... this looks almost like an optical illusion.

carolsnotebook 9/1/10, 4:16 PM

Unusual perspective. Very nice though.

Heather 9/1/10, 4:52 PM

My daughter would love to get her hands on him! She is absolutel horse crazy. I love that capture, such an unusual perspective!

Alice Teh 9/1/10, 7:56 PM

I really like this!

SandyCarlson 9/1/10, 10:06 PM

Marvelous, plain and simple.

Alyce 9/2/10, 12:07 AM

Like it's playing peek-a-boo - very cool!

SFP 9/2/10, 11:35 AM

Love this. I haven't seen a palomino pinto since I was a kid. My cousins and I used to ride with a boy who had one (and he didn't deserve it) with the unoriginal name of Trigger.

They're gorgeous horses.

Dorte H 9/2/10, 3:17 PM

What DID you do to the poor animal, Beth?
