Looks like a star.
Beautiful shot.

Wow, Beautiful :)

(Diane) Bibliophile By the Sea 1/5/11, 6:37 AM

A perfect example of "the beauty of nature".

caite 1/5/11, 7:31 AM

It's like a star! cool...

bermudaonion 1/5/11, 8:44 AM

That is fabulous! Thanks for sharing.

BookGeek 1/5/11, 9:16 AM

It almost looks like it is underwater. Like some sort of sea coral. I know it's not, but I like it!

Beth Hoffman 1/5/11, 9:32 AM

Beautiful photo. I suspect this kind of natural spray design is where the old jewelry masters got their inspiration for those huge diamond brooches they crafted.

marthalama 1/5/11, 10:00 AM

I love this photo, just amazing. Would you mind if I used it as my computer's wallpaper?

Mommy Lisa 1/5/11, 10:17 AM

That is GORGEOUS! WW is not open today - so weird.

Alice Teh 1/5/11, 10:29 AM

Dorte H 1/5/11, 1:19 PM

Wow, this is like fireworks!

Stan 1/5/11, 2:05 PM

That is very cool and creative. I like to see photographers go for the unusual in common things.

Aerie-el 1/5/11, 2:16 PM

I love that the texture pops out of the photograph. Crunchy and smooth and soft, surrounded by mystery.

Carol 1/5/11, 2:20 PM

Beautiful shot! So pretty!
Happy WW!

kaye 1/5/11, 2:20 PM

very pretty, it reminds me of a star.

K. Harrington 1/5/11, 2:57 PM

So elegant!

I answered this question on my blog, but yes, they DO still have field days at some schools.:) A good thing, no?

Leslie @ Under My Apple Tree 1/5/11, 3:32 PM

That has a snowflake effect to it. Very different.

I like to leave my plants in the garden over the winter for the birds but I haven't tried photographing them at night. Yet.

Dawn @ sheIsTooFondOfBooks 1/5/11, 4:40 PM

That does look like a star or snowflake - striking!

Peppermint Ph.D. 1/5/11, 4:53 PM

The black background really makes the textures pop...is it a nighttime shot or a lighting effect?

Deb Nance at Readerbuzz 1/5/11, 8:17 PM

Your photos are always fantastic. I love to see what you post.

Here is my Wordless Wednesday.

SandyCarlson 1/5/11, 9:34 PM

I like that very, very much.

catsynth 1/6/11, 2:18 AM

Beautiful - I like the intricate pattern. One can see the fractal-like geometry here.

Michelle 1/6/11, 5:49 AM

My sinuses are twitching just looking at this, LOL!

Gorgeous picture :)

Jen - devourer of books 1/6/11, 11:25 AM

(No, my caps locks aren't broken, that is just how gorgeous I think this picture is).

Zibilee 1/6/11, 2:37 PM

What a lovely picture! Are those the plants that get little stickers caught in your pants leg when you walk through them, or am I mistaken?

Chris 1/6/11, 9:42 PM

Wow...that is SO incredibly beautiful Beth!!
