Hey! Where did spring go? I always look forward to your pictures...you are very good at capturing the ordinary in an unordinary way.

Kaye 3/16/11, 7:29 AM

What a gorgeous closeup!

Indrani 3/16/11, 7:49 AM

That is a great close up.

PippaD 3/16/11, 8:01 AM

What a great capture.

Zibilee 3/16/11, 8:12 AM

You are a really great photographer! Nice picture!

bermudaonion 3/16/11, 8:38 AM

I hope that wasn't taken too recently.

Louis la Vache 3/16/11, 9:12 AM

A reminder that winter is still with us...

Rebecca Rasmussen 3/16/11, 9:22 AM

It's spring again here today, so now I can enjoy your photograph :)

colleen 3/16/11, 10:13 AM

I sense it melting and dropping to the ground. Our forsythia are about to pop.

Beth Hoffman 3/16/11, 10:18 AM

Love the delicacy of the ice. Great shot; you are the queen of close-ups!

Martha@Hey, I want to read that 3/16/11, 10:22 AM

You really do have the best close-ups. I always look forward to WW, it makes my day.

Leslie (Under My Apple Tree) 3/16/11, 10:43 AM

Nice contrast.

I hope that was January ice and not yesterday's ice!

Beth F 3/16/11, 10:47 AM

Leslie: It was March ice (from last week). We get snow in April around here.

Carol @ There's Always Thyme to Cook 3/16/11, 11:06 AM

Great shot! I love the winter weather but have to say, I'm looking forward to the colors of spring!

Kim 3/16/11, 12:02 PM

Very pretty Beth. Ice here is gone too--even though we didn't get all that much this year. My Wednesday photo is much more spring like. :)
*smiles*

Beth 3/16/11, 12:19 PM

It's melting fast!

Susan Adcox 3/16/11, 12:34 PM

In a short time we'll be lusting after a bit of ice and cold weather!

Peppermint Ph.D. 3/16/11, 12:36 PM

Go away snow and ice!! I want to plant my garden ;)
Beautiful shot, nevertheless :)

kayerj 3/16/11, 2:07 PM

very pretty Beth.

Dorte H 3/16/11, 2:37 PM

This is just brilliant! You have to look at it for a second to figure out what it is, and the ice in the middle is so transparent it reminds me of smoke.

Stan 3/16/11, 4:22 PM

Nice ice. I'm happy to say that my opportunity to take such photos is about over for this year.

Jenners 3/16/11, 4:56 PM

It really looks like a rather large diamond.

Kailana 3/16/11, 11:20 PM

This is a great picture!

Marvin 3/16/11, 11:47 PM

Nice shot! With a little bit of luck, we in the Arkansas Ozarks have seen our last ice until next fall.

Anonymous,  3/17/11, 8:46 AM

Ooh, that's very nice. Lovely crystals.

Dianne - Bunny Trails 3/17/11, 11:20 AM

Oooh, very cool shot! Love it.

Robin 3/19/11, 7:32 AM

Funny that you said you almost posted a glass photo too, because in a way you did, that ice is itself glassy looking.

Are you tired of me simply writing "Beautiful" on your Wordless Wednesday posts?!

The ice glistens in this photo - and I don't mind seeing ice/snow on your blog today, because I spotted the green shoots of crocus plants in my front yard this morning (spring IS coming!)

Michelle 3/26/11, 5:05 PM

Gorgeous picture but I have to say (again, I'm sure) that I'm over winter! Sadly, looks like we might be getting some of the white stuff tonight and tomorrow. *sigh*

Alice 4/2/11, 12:25 PM

I heard Cold is leaving soon. Great picture!
