I love stained glass..

Ed T. 8/22/12, 6:32 AM

I notice a lot of digital noise in the image - in this case, it gives an effect almost like this was a sketch/drawing instead of a photo.

Happy WW!

So pretty -- it looks very old. Is the effects, like Ed mentioned?

Daryl 8/22/12, 8:16 AM

love the colors ..

Beth Hoffman 8/22/12, 9:16 AM

Fascinating effect ... gives the illusion of colored pencil on rice paper!

Jen 8/22/12, 9:46 AM

Very nice -- and I agree with the others who mentioned the effect --- gives it a nice texture!

Indrani 8/22/12, 10:15 AM

Sober and beautiful!

Looooove my stained glass. We've got a couple of pieces that are hanging in our windows. Wish my whole house had it.

Zibilee 8/22/12, 11:32 AM

It looks like all the glass is iridescent, which is very cool! I love this photo.

I like the colors and texture of the window. And the oval in the center makes it a bit more abstract.

Leslie (Under My Apple Tree) 8/22/12, 1:26 PM

Nice texture and emphasis on the aged look of the glass.

@Mitch: yes, it's the bottom pane of a window in a local (central Pennsylvania) church. Maybe 100 years old or so, not all that old in terms of churches and stained-glass.

I love stained glass. So beautiful!

Jenners 8/22/12, 9:12 PM

Love the colors.

This would make a challenging puzzle I think.

Joy Weese Moll 8/22/12, 11:16 PM

Louis la Vache 8/23/12, 12:47 AM

«Louis» has long been fascinated with stained glass.

He thanks you for your visit to San Francisco Bay Daily Photo.

This would make a wonderful 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle!

Your photos are always so gorgeous. What kind of camera are you using?
