Booking Through Thursday: Winter

What I want to know today is . . . what are the most “wintery” books you can think of? The ones that almost embody winter?

Each of the following books are bound to make you cold! Great wintry scenes.

Blizzard by Jim Murphy (nonfiction)
Iron Lake by William Kent Krueger (mystery, Minnesota)
Virgin of Small Plains by Nancy Pickard (mystery, Kansas)
In the Bleak Midwinter by Julia Spencer-Fleming (mystery, upstate New York)

Be sure to have your favorite hot drink with you before you start to read!

    I've had In the Bleak Midwinter on my TBR list for quite a while now. Maybe when the weather warms up a little, I'll give it a try - right now, I'm cold enough already! Have a great Christmas Day.

    Thanks for the recommendations, especially the Nancy Pickford novel. I've been looking for a book set in Kansas, and this sounds like a really interesting one.

    I always think of "The Long Winter" by Laura Ingalls Wilder when i think about winter books.
    I even start getting hungry when i read it as if I was running out of food too! LOL
