That's a very nice photo...I wonder what the roof tiles are made of? They seem to be concave instead of the convex type the houses have here in California. (Wife of builder...I notice this weird stuff)
Beth, I can see that you visited me before I had time to tell you I had awarded your blog :) I posted in a bit of a hurry before running off to work, and planned to tell my nominees afterward, but you had already found it.
Sigh... I was supposed to be flying to Belgium this Saturday (and I was going to go to Antwerpen and Brugge). But instead, I'm being sent to... Wichita, Kansas! :-)

ReplyDeleteKelly: I too am "wife of builder" thus the interest in scenes such as this!! I don't really know anything about the roof tiles of Brugge!
ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to think you loved Brugge. Great photo as always.
ReplyDeleteMakes for an interesting shot! (I have a fear of heights, so I wouldn't see this otherwise.)

ReplyDeleteFantastic photo as usual; I love these old tiles.
Before I saw the title my first thought was the roofs and tiles looked Asian in style.
ReplyDeleteThe roof tiles look almost like the scales on a fish, very interesting!
ReplyDeleteGreat lines and angles!
ReplyDeleteI trying to imagine the tiles as the vibrant red or orange they must have been when they were first laid.
ReplyDeleteI love the roof lines. All the angles keep your eye moving.
ReplyDeleteIn answer to your question on my blog, the first one was optimized because it was a little over exposed but the other two weren't.
Tabbikat's Thoughts
there's a great sense of the whimsical in this. A randomness that's very appealing. (If not especially structurally sound.)
