  4. I have just come here from Cathy´s blog - guess whom I met there - and my mail tell me you have just visited me LOL

Great old sign. Unfortunately most of the old shop & restaurant signs have disappeared from Copenhagen. Too many people seem to prefer modern neon signs & do not realize how wonderful these old ones are.

  5. Dorte: I love the signs in the older parts of the older places in Europe. We rarely see such great signs in the United States.

    P.S.

  10. Why aren't there lovely signs like that here, instead of the ugly awnings staring at me from across the street?

  11. My DH brought back some interesting pictures of signs from his summer abroad, so I can definitely understand there are even more out there. :)

  15. Makes me long for Kafee und Kuchen and the Cat Cafe! Then maybe buy some funny blue art at the shop next door.

By the way -- the picture on your header is so beautiful -- what town is that? It looks like the river walk in San Antonio, but I don't recall so many plants being there.

  16. I am in love with the signs and the scrolling brackets that they hang from. There is nothing like that here. This makes me long to travel.

  18. My wife has mentioned Bremen many times. It's the site of some kind of play or something that's only put on every few years. I suppose we'll visit one day.
