Where Are You? / Teaser Tuesday (June 2): Starfinder

I live in the highest city in the world, right on the edge of the misty Reach. Even though I'm only thirteen, all I've ever dreamed about is learning to fly and to become a Skyknight. Leroux, the man who has raised me since my mother died, tells me stories of Skylords and other beings who live across the Reach. Is Leroux crazy or does he really know what he's talking about?

MizB at Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesdays. Here's how it works: Grab your current read; let the book fall open to a random page; and share 2 “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12. For more teasers, click on through to MizB's blog.

Moth slid down the bank to reach her. The current snatched her, dragging her fast. She screamed, gurgling his name, her red hair whipped by the swirling water.

"Fiona!"

He caught a glimpse of her thrashing arm. The wind swallowed her screams. (p. 160)
