  1. The Centre County, Pennsylvania, county fair is one of the last remaining camping fairs in the country. Tent sites are so coveted that are inherited and often appear in wills. In most cases, the same family has camped in the same spot for more than 100 years. The fair lasts a week. For more information visit the Grange Fair website.

  2. I have such fond memories of the Warren County fair, back where I grew up. I was involved in 4H, so this was where I lived for a week. County fairs back there are a dime a dozen though, so our tent sites are not all that coveted. I LOVE the picture of the pig tail. Haha!

  8. Oh to be able to visit that fair would be wonderful... Most county fairs are so much about rides now and not about craftmenship also... and wee piggie tail is cute

  9. I love the quilts - always - I can get quite lost in every stitch. I must say, though, that the piggie tail might have been more of an attraction for me. (Great piggie tail photo!)

  18. The Big E is the agricultural fair around these parts and it takes place in early fall. I've never been! If I get to see curly piggy tails I'd be more inclined to go.

  22. It's only another month or so before we have our county fair. I'm definitely looking forward to it! The fair is always a bunch of fun, despite its propensity for giving me headaches.
