Writing Contest and Giveaway with Author Jennie Nash

Mother's Day is coming up and author Jennie Nash has a fabulous way to celebrate. Put your writer's hat on your head, grab a mug of your favorite beverage, and read on.

About the Mother Day's Writing Contest

At the core of Jennie Nash's newest book, The Threadbare Heart, is a story about a mother and a daughter. Here's what Jennie herself has to say:
The Threadbare Heart is a story about a mother and a daughter torn apart by grief, jealousy and misunderstanding--and the family heirloom that finally brings them together. To celebrate its publication, and in honor of Mother’s Day, I’m running a Favorite Fictional Mother & Daughter contest with a group of fantastic bloggers. We want to know which fictional mother-daughter pair made you laugh? Made you cry? Made you cringe? Which pair revealed something true about your own mother-daughter relationships? (And yes, mothers and daughters in film are eligible. Fiction is fiction, right?)
Here's How to Enter
  • Think of your favorite fictional mother-daughter pair (from a book or movie) and tell me what makes them your favorite in an essay of about 250 words. E-MAIL me your entry with "Threadbare Heart" in the subject line [BFish (dot) Reads (at) gmail (dot) com] by Saturday May 8, 4:00 PM EDT.
  • On Sunday May 9--Mother's Day--I will post the entry that I liked the best.
  • The author of the winning essay will win a signed copy of The Threadbare Heart and will be entered in the Grand Prize Giveaway.
  • On Sunday May 16, Jennie Nash will pick the Grand Prize winner, who will receive a Book Club in a Box (10 signed copies of The Threadbare Heart plus a yummy rum cake to serve at your book club meeting).
Just one thing: Several bloggers are hosting this contest, you can enter at only one blog. I hope you'll choose me!

To get you started, you can read the first chapter of The Threadbare Heart at Jennie's website.

I am so excited to be part of this fabulous giveaway! Good luck to everyone! EDIT: I was just told that that contest is for U.S. mailing addresses only.
