This is just brilliant! You have to look at it for a second to figure out what it is, and the ice in the middle is so transparent it reminds me of smoke.
Funny that you said you almost posted a glass photo too, because in a way you did, that ice is itself glassy looking.

Are you tired of me simply writing "Beautiful" on your Wordless Wednesday posts?!
The ice glistens in this photo - and I don't mind seeing ice/snow on your blog today, because I spotted the green shoots of crocus plants in my front yard this morning (spring IS coming!)
Gorgeous picture but I have to say (again, I'm sure) that I'm over winter! Sadly, looks like we might be getting some of the white stuff tonight and tomorrow. *sigh*

ReplyDeletePretty capture.
ReplyDeleteIt's spring again here today, so now I can enjoy your photograph :)
ReplyDeleteI sense it melting and dropping to the ground. Our forsythia are about to pop.
ReplyDeleteLove the delicacy of the ice. Great shot; you are the queen of close-ups!
ReplyDeleteYou really do have the best close-ups. I always look forward to WW, it makes my day.
ReplyDeleteNice contrast.
ReplyDeleteI hope that was January ice and not yesterday's ice!
Leslie: It was March ice (from last week). We get snow in April around here.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I love the winter weather but have to say, I'm looking forward to the colors of spring!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Beth. Ice here is gone too--even though we didn't get all that much this year. My Wednesday photo is much more spring like. :)
ReplyDelete*smiles*
It's melting fast!
ReplyDeleteIn a short time we'll be lusting after a bit of ice and cold weather!
ReplyDeleteGo away snow and ice!! I want to plant my garden ;)

ReplyDeleteIt really looks like a rather large diamond.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great picture!
ReplyDeleteNice shot! With a little bit of luck, we in the Arkansas Ozarks have seen our last ice until next fall.
ReplyDeleteOoh, that's very nice. Lovely crystals.
ReplyDeleteOooh, very cool shot! Love it.
