Nice one. I would have never guessed that was Queen Anne's Lace. I see the plants all the time but they just blend into the autumn background. The macro shot really pulls out the detail in the seeds.

That's so pretty. I've never seen Queen Anne's Lace in real life. I don't know that it grows in Colorado.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I don't think I have ever seen one before.

ReplyDeleteI'm like Ed, I thought it was a decoration because it's ball shaped. Great photo!

In my yard I thought these were ugly, but in your photo I can see the close-up beauty still remaining. Genius.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a little flower prison! I love this shot!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a Christmas tree ornament!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, so interesting looking. I've only seen it in bloom. I love this shot.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I've ever actually noticed Queen Anne's lace in the fall when it's all folded in.
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived up north, this stuff was everywhere - in FL none can be found. Interesting shot, I thought it was an ornament at first glance.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And a lovely reminder of fall on this grey wintry afternoon.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite wildflower! Beautiful even when it is dying.
ReplyDeleteIt almost looks like a Christmas ornament!
ReplyDeleteI am such a sucker for macro photography - this is beautiful!

Lovely, and very Christmassy :)
ReplyDeleteThe queen seems to shake her fist at the close of the season.
ReplyDeleteYou've had some great fall photos - showing the beauty of nature and when it has "passed its prime."
ReplyDeleteOk so that looks a little creepy. Kind of like some sort of insect that snaps shut on it's prey. Very interesting.
