Reminds me of a Robbie Robertson song. It has the lyrics:
Take a picture of this The fields are empty, abandoned '59 Chevy Laying in the back seat listening to Little Willie John Yeah, that's when time stood still
I know that is not a Chevy, but those words popped into my head immediately when I saw this! Love it.
I’d like to highlight your photo for next week’s Wordless Wednesday Bloggers. Please let me know by leaving a comment with a link to your WW at http://thejennyevolution.com/2013/04/16/wordless-wednesday-lemons/
And since a few folks have mentioned lyrics, I can't help but think of Jack Ingram's Beat Up Ford. If ever in the mood for Texas Country, it's a fantastic song. Ha!
Joyce and Heather said what we always said about Fords and now I'm driving one. Had to get a whole new engine before it was a year old. That truck probably runs as well as it did new. Really great photo. Janet

Did you know that FORD is an acronym? Fix or repair daily.

It also stands for "found on road dead." ;-)
ReplyDeleteNice pic, Beth!
My WW post
Old, yet makes a statement!
ReplyDeleteI liked the 2 acronyms for it. :)
Needs a bit of work, but it has good bones..lol
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting picture. It reminds me of the old cars and trucks in my grandpa's yard when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting old truck. I don't see very many like that.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of a Robbie Robertson song. It has the lyrics:

ReplyDeleteWW: Dorky Cat
Something about an old vehicle that seems to be looking right at me ... like it jumped out of a Stephen King novel.
ReplyDeleteThis one looks like it ran a short time ago. Headlights are intact, side mirror are still attached. My husband would be in "lust".
ReplyDeleteGreat photo, Beth.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE seeing stuff like this and always wish that I had a camera to take a shot (or a place to pull over). I especially love the red on this truck!

ReplyDeleteThe first thing I thought was "Mater!"
