Being Extra-Challenged

As you might know, I join Kris's (from Not Enough Books) Cozy Mystery Challenge each year (you can still join, it just started). This time around, Margot from Joyfully Retired decided to double the challenge by reading one book from each of the authors featured on The Cozy Chicks blog. I am going to try to meet her challenge so I can get to know seven new series (you know, I just don't have enough series going).

I am also participating in the 2010 Graphic Novels Challenge. In April, Heather from Tales of a Capricious Reader is hosting a Graphic Nonfiction Mini-Challenge. There is no set number of books to read (well, duh, you have to read at least one!). I happen to have three graphic nonfiction titles in the house and I'm hoping to get to all of them. My titles are Embroideries, Stitches, and Blankets, and I want to know if I get extra points for reading only single-word, plural noun titles.

You've never met a challenge you didn't like! Good luck!

I'm so glad you joined my mini-challenge! I haven't read Stitches yet, but the other two are really good, especially Blankets. I hope you enjoy them!

And maybe we can work something out about the titles... ;)

I have to do a challenge update. I am a little afraid to see how far behind I am. Good luck with these.

I hope you enjoy Embroideries as much as I did. Those women were a hoot!

You are the Challenge Queen! In looking over my progress so far, I realize that I need to get down to business, especially with my TBR, the Graphic Novel, and the Vietnam Challenges. Maybe this summer!

I don't do challenges, but if I did, the Cozy Mystery would be the one.

I'm so glad you decided to double the cozies and get to know the Cozy Chicks. I've started on my first one by Maggie Sefton, and so far I'm enjoying it.

I like the titles of your graphic non-fiction books. Can't wait to hear about them.

Keep going, Challenge Queen. Even if you don't finish, it's so much fun starting down the path. It's like all the knitting projects I've started that are still waiting for me.

I am glad you are also in the Cozy Mystery Challenge, and I am looking forward to reading your reviews.

i've read a few cozies but haven't the fortitude (or time right now) to join the challenge. instead, i'll cheer you on from the sidelines.

i only have one challenge for 2010: read 'the book thief' once and for all. four false starts so far...i'm still working on it. :)

I just learned about Joyfully Retired's spin on my challenge and also think it's a create idea. Good luck with it!

I love me some series books! Good luck on both challenges :)

Good grief, you are industrious! I'll admit, though, the Cozy Mystery sounds tempting....hey one of my challenges went "out of business" already, so I guess I have a slot to fill there, right? lol!

You'll be busy reading! :-) Good luck with the challenges. I know what you mean about series--I keep starting new ones myself even though I've got so many going already. LOL

I'm reading Epileptic for the mini-challenge, even though I started it last month. But it's huge so I figure it's o.k.!

I'm so impressed, Beth! I gave up on joining challenges because I'm no good in completing them...
