That is a perfect flower specimen!

What an amazing shot! Such a beautiful color, too. It really looks like springtime.

Secret Mom Thoughts 6/3/09, 7:23 AM

Beautiful flower and shot.

Julie P. 6/3/09, 8:00 AM

Isn't nature just amazing? Beautiful picture.

Your pictures are always gorgeous - do you take your camera with you when you walk?

Beth F 6/3/09, 9:03 AM

Bermuda: I sometimes take my camera. I have three routes I walk, and so there isn't much new to photograph, but at least once a month I have it with me. I carry my camera in my purse almost all the time though.

Kim 6/3/09, 9:51 AM

Amazing! We are on the same wave length today.
Happy Wednesday--

BEAUTIFUL!!! Just breathtaking, really.

Delicate beauty. Love it!

InventingLiz 6/3/09, 12:37 PM

I guess it's a purple kind of day - I've got some purple at my place today too!

This is really pretty, such a soft color for an iris.

Amber 6/3/09, 1:34 PM

So pretty. Gotta love this time of year! Thanks for stopping by!

Ballet dancers in the mead!

Wonderful.

Carissa(GoodnCrazy) 6/3/09, 2:36 PM

Ahhh perfect! I once went to an arboretum where the main flowers grown were ONLY Irises! HEAVEN, my mom planned a trip to visit me around the bloom time in fact!! :)

Was in New Jersey, you near there??

Stan 6/3/09, 2:41 PM

Another great flower picture. Your work is beautiful.

Beth F 6/3/09, 2:41 PM

Carissa: gardens of irises sounds heavenly! I'm in central Pennsylvania, and these flowers are in my garden.

Modern Mom 6/3/09, 3:10 PM

Stunning, graceful and so delicate. I love it! :)

Thanks for visiting. :) Happy WW.

Margot 6/3/09, 3:21 PM

Beautiful picture. I'm still thinking about Dame's Rocket from last week. The blue was so intense. I like the little flowers behind the iris and the green too.

Darlene 6/3/09, 4:15 PM

Oh wow, are those ever beautiful!

CJ West 6/3/09, 7:44 PM

Fantastic Irises! Great photo.

The Bumbles 6/3/09, 8:11 PM

I've never seen an Iris in that pale of a purple. They look like flowing bridesmaids on a pretty spring outdoor wedding. We have one lone yellow one at the very back of our long backyard which looks rather lonely - we'll have to plant some pretty friends like this for it next year.

Becca 6/3/09, 8:50 PM

Lovely. Do you do any retouching on your photos? The colors are so vivid. The shot is perfect.

SandyCarlson 6/3/09, 9:01 PM

These flowers are the last word in femininity, I think. Beautiful shot.

Beth F 6/3/09, 9:08 PM

Rebecca: Nope. I crop my photos, but other than that, they are just as they came out of the camera (memory card).

Unknown 6/3/09, 9:27 PM

Awww, don't you just love these flowers! Irises together with tulips are my favorite.

Lzyjo 6/4/09, 8:27 AM

Beautiful! The ruffles are just perfect! I love the pale-blue purple!

Karen Harrington 6/4/09, 8:55 AM

So delicate. It almost looks like fabric.

Melody 6/4/09, 10:26 AM

Wow, that's beautiful!

(Diane) Bibliophile By the Sea 6/4/09, 11:10 AM

OMG>> Gorgeous (was my mom's favorite flower) :(

Louise 6/4/09, 4:27 PM

I know I didn't like your last flower posted (liked the photo, of course, but not the flower), but this one is really pretty and I like it a lot :-)

Beth F 6/4/09, 4:38 PM

Louise: LOL! I knew what you meant! I really like irises too.

The Tome Traveller 6/5/09, 5:18 PM

Irises are my favorites, I have a bunch blooming in front of my house right now. Mine are mostly two-toned, I've never seen one this shade. It's a stunning photo!

Dawn - She is Too Fond of Books 6/7/09, 8:47 PM

Carey/TomeTraveller used my adjective ... I was going to say "stunning irises" ... I'll say it anyway!
