What I'd Like to See in an eReader
I'd like to see a great touch screen
I think that you know what I mean.
My suitcase groans from just one more book
The nice light weight is one great hook.
Taking notes helps with reviews
A stylus feature is welcome news.
I come across a new word now.
A dictionary? Yes and wow!
Let me use my library card
Downloading from there is just not hard.
I want books from all over the place
No one store can hope to keep pace.
I love the trees, I love the shade
An eReader won't let them fade.
And finally when the mood hits me
I want to buy using fast G3.

ReplyDeleteLove your creativity! I'm still skeptical on eReaders, though I know they definitely have their advantages. I'm just stubborn when it comes to giving up my books--it took me forEVER to want to listen to audio books! :-)
ReplyDeleteI know several people with the Kindle. Mostly they like it, but the one thing they all say is this: It is really hard to get used to not knowing where you are in the book when reading. The physical clues are not there with the Kindle. Never tried one myself though. I may be old fashioned, but I even like the smell of a real book.

ReplyDeletelove your poem, and I love my kindle. But I agree--I'd like all those things you pointed out. But for now I'll use what is available. Though this weekend in my surfing of the net I saw a pre-release version of Barnes and Nobles up-coming e-reader. I wonder if I should have waited?
ReplyDeleteI am (obviously) soooo far behind! But I had to say I really liked your eReader wishlist ;o). I'm sticking with my iPhone (with Kindle and Stanza installed) until somebody comes out with a reader that lets me buy books from anywhere wirelessly (just like my iPhone does)! I'm glad there are other readers out there that want to see the same thing.
