Today's Read: Between Me and the River by Carrie Host

I'm forty years old, and I have just heard the words that no one ever wants to hear. I'm in a fog but I make out cancer and surgery and immediately. I have three kids; one isn't even a year old yet. MizB at Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesdays. Here's how it works: Grab your current read; let the book fall open to a random page; and share 2 “teaser” sentences from that page. For more teasers, click on through to MizB's blog.

  6. Beth ...this is a great teaser and looks like a good buck. Unfortunately, so many people I know have been touched by cancer within the last year, that I could not handle it right now...Cancer is my biggest fear :(

  9. I'm reading this book also. Sometimes it's hard to read but a nicely written true story. I look forward to your thoughts on it.

  13. That sounds very emotional. I've lost a number of friends to cancer and it's never an easy diagnosis to hear. Thanks for posting it.
