Everything Austen: Wrap Up

Last week I finished the Everything Austen Challenge, hosted by Stephanie from Stephanie's Written Word. I had every intention of reading some of the Austen spin-off novels, but I ended up doing the entire challenge in film reviews.

I had a blast watching new movies and revisiting some favorite films and mini-series, including the BBC's Pride & Prejudice with Colin Firth in BlueRay on a big(ish) TV. Ahhhhh.

Um, well, yes, where was I? I reviewed quite a number of Austen productions but by no means all the available versions and adaptations. Here's a list of my posts:
Thanks, Stephanie, for a great challenge. I really had fun with it.

  1. Congrats for finishing the challenge. Pride and Prejudice is one of my favourite books ever. And Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy...Dreamy *sigh*.

  2. Oh that Colin Firth version...I think it was you that convinced me to watch it in the first place. After the end of watching that (by myself, in the middle of the day when I should have been cleaning or something) I could SWEAR I was a romantic. I think I swooned once or twice even.

  3. Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy on bluray...makes me all dreamy just thinking about it. Sadly, I don't have a free six hours this weekend--guess I'll just have to make do with Love Actually (another Colin Firth movie with a fantastic love story--he learns Portugese, she learns English! And it's Christmas themed!) this weekend!

  4. I had every intention of reading Austen novels/spin-offs for this challenge too, but ended up watching the film instead. Still had a blast though, congrats on finishing it!
Colin Firth, as Mr. Darcy on Blue-Ray? I may be buying myself a Christmas present this year...

  7. Good for you. You finished the challenge which is more than I managed to do. I've decided to just keep going and to personally extend the deadline. Works for me.
