Today's Read: The Threadbare Heart by Jennie Nash

My name is Lily, a math professor married to a biology professor. When we made plans to go to California to visit my mother and our kids, I thought it would be just like any other Christmas. We'd see the boys and their wives, spend time with our granddaughter, and then return to New England. Now Tom, that quiet husband of mine, is talking about buying an avocado farm. I am feeling lost.
