I'm Official! Check Out the URL

Look at me! I have a new address. Yes, I finally mustered up the courage to use Blogger's built-in "buy a custom domain" feature. Let me tell you, I was shaking in my boots. So far everything is going just as predicted. I'm smiling from ear to ear.

All my links are still working, and you should be redirected here if you use my old address. But just to be sure, please add the new URL to your blog reader.

Doesn't www.BethFishReads.com look professional?

Please let me know if you have any trouble with the new address or with the links. My blog is still in transition, so I expect some glitches until midweek.

  2. Congratulations! I've been thinking about doing this myself for awhile. Spent a ton of money this week on other things, however, so even though $10 through Blogger is cheap, I think I'm going to wait until next Bloggiesta to make the change myself. Enjoy your new domain!

  9. VERY professional!

I have thought of doing this myself, but feel that I need to get back to a regular blogging habit before I make that commitment.

So glad to hear that it was an easy process.

  18. Now this is what I would like to do. Was it easy to do Beth? I am fed up of my blog address being difficult to find.

  20. Thanks sooooo much everyone! Honestly it was easy as can be. I just followed the directions on Blogger's settings tabs.

It costs $10 a year and they take care of all forwarding of links, etc. The only thing I have to do is update one of the feed settings over at FeedBurner. Other than that, it took about 4 minutes.

Some people lose their quick edit tools (pencil and wrenches) for a couple of days, but once the blog has been transitioned over to the custom domain, all is restored.
