There something very timeless about this photo and I get the sensation the tree is reaching out to grab something or someone. Thanks for stopping by Calico Contemplations.
I saw that you're going to be out with your camera more in the months to come. Happy shooting :).

i don't know about you but i'd much rather have stormy spring weather than cold winter! and there's something refreshing about spring showers (that bring may flowers...;) )

The silhouette of the tree looks as if it is ready to pounce. Nice capture.
ReplyDeleteGreat contrast. I really like this.
ReplyDeleteThat picture makes me feel cold! And makes me want to curl up under a blanky and read.
ReplyDeleteNice shot! I can just feel the storm coming.
ReplyDeleteLooks like here. Looking forward to seeing some blue soon.
ReplyDeleteI love leaves and greenery, but bare-limbed trees can have such ethereal beauty.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
ReplyDeleteHey, I think that tree might be Ernie's cousin!
ReplyDeleteLove the mood it evokes; great atmospheric shot!
Nice shot! Looking at it, I imagine many people and plots...from Heathcliff and Catherine to Harry Potter and Hogwarts.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting angle! I had to think for a moment to figure out the picture. :) Happy WW.
ReplyDeleteThat picture has such a creepy feel!
ReplyDeleteEeek! Very ominous!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful photo. It makes me love overcast, gloomy weather.
ReplyDeleteI was immediately drawn to the triangle and its contrast with the shape of the tree - very interesting juxtaposition.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the warm words on the upcoming show!

ReplyDeleteIt does have a creepiness to it-very Sleepy Hollow-ish. I love the look of the church/building though-very solid.
ReplyDeleteinteresting view of the church through the tree. It will look quite different in a months time.
ReplyDeleteFear not, that tree will soon be covered with leaves and this winter will be history.
ReplyDeleteOminous!
ReplyDeleteWhen it's enlarged, the photo really shows off those droopy winter limbs on the tree. It looks like winter has been a burden on it.
ReplyDeleteFrom this angle, the steeple reminds me of a witch's hat!
I'd love to wander around this place! Looks like England but could it be Germany? (You have some great blogs!!!)
ReplyDeleteGray is such a devious color to photograph. You've done it well.
ReplyDeleteVery witchy and spellbinding!
ReplyDeleteLovely tones.

This one looks spooky, it would make a great picture for a halloween theme.
ReplyDeleteWe've been seeing too much of this type of sky lately!
