I like the subtle color of the lilacs. It also makes me think a bit of my youth - we had lilacs in our yard.

Thanks for sharing the subtle colors!

Gorgeous. I actually change my morning walking route this time of year so I can stroll past a house with the most gorgeous lilacs. The scent is awesome!

Beautiful! I just cut myself a nice bouquet of them yesterday!

Beautiful, I can practically smell it.

My mom had them everywhere on the farm when I was growing up. They are intoxicating.

Love this photo, and love the background color as well. Very cool, Beth!

Mine have not quite opened yet, but this makes me hungry for the luscious fragrance. Very nice lighting and composition!

Such a beautiful, sweet smelling plant. I've got three big lilac bushes blooming in my back yard and I'm loving it.

Beautiful photo! I love lilacs.

This reminds me of the big lilac bush my mom had in her garden when I was growing up. As you walked towards the garden, the smell met you and walked the rest of the way with you.
thanks Beth.

Ah yes, lilac season here too. All the shrubs seem to be flowering and I'm sneezing my way through spring!

That's a very pretty shot and your lilac isn't making my eyes tear. :)

Beautiful! I love lilacs, but mine didn't last long this year.

What a variety in the colors of the petals!

Are you hanging laundry out already, or did you hold that up for contrast?

Beth F 5/13/11, 1:16 PM

@Dawn: actually this one was taken indoors with a white cloth behind to capture the pink tones.

Pam (@iwriteinbooks),  5/13/11, 1:16 PM
