I love those arches.
I am reminded of a similar scene but in ruins... I will post it soon.

Happy WW!

Beautiful shot of multiple arches or perhaps arcs is what I mean. My eyes keep looking for more of that design element.

Your pictures are so inspiring. I know I´ll never be a fabulous photographer, but you are one of the bloggers who has inspired me to at least snap a photo of my garden flowers once in a while.

What a beautiful place.
I love places like this, I could shoot all those curves for hours :)
(Reminds me that I still have church and abbey shots in my archives....)
Happy Wednesday!

Gorgeous! I've only been to Berlin, Germany once but the place is amazing.....there are beautiful castles and churches. We were in a windmill high atop a mountain and the view was just breathtaking! I will never forget it! I love their bread and sausages too!

Very nice. I have in mind to get into a church and take some pictures.

Eva @ One Swede Read 4/15/09, 5:26 PM

Lovely! I would have thought that with those colors, the picture would be from somewhere in North Africa or somewhere similar! :)

Joy0z 4/15/09, 7:09 PM

One of this day, I'll be in Germany hehehe. Just daydreaming. That's lovely. Thanks for dropping at my site photo blog.

I love old churches, and there are so many f them in Europe. I especially love the colours painted on the arches.

Literary Feline 4/16/09, 12:09 AM

That is really beautiful, Beth. I'm breathless.

Beth F 4/16/09, 12:14 AM

Thanks everyone -- I took a lot of shots inside this church and this is the one that showed the arches upon arches plus the incredible colors and motifs the best. I may post another from the same church one of these days.

I love churches in Germany. Can't get enough of them when I visited 3 years ago!

LivingforGod 4/16/09, 4:35 AM

It is grand and magnificent!
Thank you for visiting my photo blog.

Beautiful! I love the natural light. Stone arches are so beautiful. They look so strong, it's almost paradoxical to think they are held in place by one stone alone.

What an awesome photo!!

BTW, I have a little something for you at my blog, you can pick it up here.
