I'm still Violet and I'm still in the Los Angeles area. I've met a raggedy ex-junkie bass player who has added some sparkle back to my life. I even invited him over for lunch. I don't think I want the relationship to go further because I realize that I really do love my husband. Meanwhile, my sister-in-law, Sally, is chasing a soon-to-be famous sports writer. She's trying not to scare him off by being too needy.

This sounds like a fun book with some very human characters!
Julie: I have mixed feelings, which is why I'm still reading it. The review will be up on Friday or Saturday. The writing is good, it's the characters I'm not sure of.

After watching "Collateral" over the weekend, the last place I want to be right now is in Los Angeles - and most especially not with a druggy (ex or not!). LOL!
I have this one on my wish list - it's getting too long!
I'm still in Pakistan as this girl named Saira is learning about the complicated family history of her parents, in the novel called The Writing on My Forehead. :)

Yup - if you are afraid of how the words you just spoke came out, they probably came out the way you feared. Doesn't look like Jeremy will be all that sweet on Sally.
It is not my normal sort of read but I really enjoyed this book!
