Spring is HERE!!

Is that a peony? From your garden?

You could have taken that shot in my back yard. My peonies look the same and are the same color!

It brings me back to my grandmother's yard, which was filled with peonies. It is the perfect shot to welcome in the spring!

That makes me think of my mother - the peony is one of her favorite flowers. Beautiful picture.

Nice shot and yay for spring.

This is a great example of one picture is worth a thousand words! I can feel the life inside ready to burst forth and declare: Spring is Here!

Thank you so much for sharing with those of us who do not have the ability to capture such photos.

I love that tiny little bug to the left. Probably a bug which eats peonys or something like that, but it looks cute, I think. In a way. I am not too fond of peonys myself. They are, I think, too large and too purple and they also have those greasy flowers....but the image is fantastic.

Awww, you just reminded me that my danged peony died. :(

Belle 5/20/09, 12:37 PM

Beautiful! And this prompted me to go outside and check my peony (I only have the one, really should add more) and it's in bud, too!

Nice photo of a Peony Bud! I have never seen one without an ant or two on them. Yours has a bug but not an ant!

Really pretty. You do a nice job with flower closeups, which happen to be some of my favorite photos.

S. Krishna 5/20/09, 1:54 PM

Gorgeous! I love the fact that it's ever so slightly colored.

Dorte H 5/20/09, 2:12 PM

That's going to be a beautiful blossom. (Right now it looks slightly alien, though)

Darlene 5/20/09, 3:54 PM

Great shot. I hope it's from your garden and we'll see it opened up too.

SandyCarlson 5/20/09, 4:13 PM

Peony? I thought. Yes. Peony. Lovely! The bug is waiting patiently, I guess.

Unknown 5/20/09, 4:54 PM

It looks absolutely wonderful. It makes me want to read Peony in Love now :-)

What a great shot. I love peonies. Please tell me you're going to post a photo of it in full bloom, too?!?
