Bloggiesta: Goals for January 2010
It's the weekend, and I'm getting my Bloggiesta on! If you don't know what Bloggiesta is, pop on over to Maw Books Blog and read all about it. It's not too late to get in on the event.
I have a few very specific goals that I hope to get done between now and Sunday night. I may do more than what I list here, but I hope I don't do less! For some great mini-challenges, ideas for improving your blog, and a list of prizes, visit the Bloggiesta Get Started post.
Goals
- Ultimately, I want to revisit and update the labels on every one of my posts. I know that I won't get this chore finished by Sunday night, but labels are my focus. See my mini-challenge for more on labels (or tags/categories). (done!)
- Bring my review indexes up to date. (done!)
- Fix & update "About Me" in my sidebar. (done!)
- While fixing labels, check that the format of old posts made the transition to my new(ish) template. (done!)
- Add a recent comments or top commenter gadget to my sidebar. (done!)
- Reassess the challenges I've joined. (done!)
- Get my Blog Talk Radio interview up in my sidebar. (done! Thanks to Trish from Hey Lady)

I probably need to re-do all of my labels, too, but can't imagine when I'll find the time to do that. Good luck with your goals!
Good work! Looks like it's just the labels to go now.
You are doing great. I managed to redo my header and color coordinate the blog. Once I finish my homework today, I'll have more time to fool with labels and everything else. The labels take a while. When I first started blogging, I forgot to label any of my posts. Last year went back and labeled all. Now need to revamp those labels. That will be an ongoing project. Thanks for all your suggestions - very helpful.

You've done a lot. My labels are a mess. I'd love to have a drop down bar like yours. Blogger only gives me one, which I use for my archives. I'd love to know how to make or import or whatever it is you have to do to get a second (or even more) on my blog. Perhaps I better read your post about labels again and maybe learn something. Keep up the good work.

One of these times I'll have to participate in this. But I'll admit it scares me spitless to think about some of the big stuff I'd like to do that I'm afraid will lose the entire blog down a rabbit hole somewhere!
