Today's Read: The Postmistress by Sarah Blake

MizB at Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesdays. Here's how it works: Grab your current read; let the book fall open to a random page; and share 2 “teaser” sentences from that page. For more teasers, click on through to MizB's blog.

Now it would start, this next part. The orphaned girl with the serious eyes and the mole at the base of her throat was now the doctor's wife, with a husband, a house, and a town. Marrying Will had pulled her through the dim gray curtain of unaccented time. The time spent in a a shared room at the top of a boardinghouse, her stockings drying on the ladder-back chair. She was going home. (p. 16)

That is a great teaser! Like a spaz, I ordered this book the day it came out on Kindle. But there it still sits. I figure this summer when we are traveling, I will be on my Kindle 100% and I'll get to catch up on all of my impulsive purchases!

It is in my wish list when I first read it at one of the book critic site (non-blogger) some weeks ago. It was in my shopping basket when I was at Kinokuniya last month, and then it went back to the shelves because I decided to wait. Now I regretted it. I'm gonna get it!

Laya 3/30/10, 9:59 PM

That leaves me with bated breath. Good teaser!

Thanks for dropping by mine! :)
