Sookie Stackhouse Reading Challenge: Soon Ending

Yikes! It's hard to believe that a year has passed since I announced the first challenge I ever attempted to host: the Sookie Stackhouse Reading Challenge. I was not a good host, and I failed to offer as many prizes as I promised. I realize now that I had grandiose plans.

In three days this challenge will end. If you have completed the challenge you are eligible for a $25 gift card to Powell's (U.S. and Canada) or to the Book Depository (rest of the world).

I will pick a winner using a random-number generator from the links and comments from those who completed the series (only one entry per person). If you haven't yet linked up or commented about completing the challenge, you have a few days left to do so. I'll pick a winner on July 1 when I turn on my computer in the morning.

Congratulations to all those who finished the challenge and good luck in the prize drawing.

Thank you for hosting the challenge! It's one of the few series I read that I'm all caught up with. LOL I count that as quite an accomplishment these days.

I read all of them except for the ones that are only available hardback...I have to wait for paperback so my set matches, LOL.

And I don't think your challenge is a failure at ALL...you got people reading Sookie!!! That's what matters!

Me and Sookie just didn't jive. My TBR shelves were grateful...they don't like newcomers.

I had to come over here and check your location when you mentioned the heat...I always think of California as the hottest...but I guess I'm wrong about that!

I actually read all ten. I just never got around to reviewing. At least the challenge got me to read the books and I enjoyed them tremendously. Thanks for introducing me to Sookie.

Where would the world be if no one had grandiose plans? Reading challenges are great opportunities to share some reading goals.

When I came up with my global reading challenge, I also imagined I could keep an eye on all the blogs and read ALL reviews. Well, I am glad I didn´t *promise* anything.

I am so enjoying this series. I did get three book read and wrote one review. I will keep at it, but I want to savour them and not read them all at once, thats why I'm not done. Thanks for directing me toward them.

I'm kind of sucking as a challenge hostess this year if that makes you feel any better!

I've failed this challenge as you well know, but I have an announcement post ready to go. I'm going to set another deadline of Dec. 31, 2010, to finish all the sookie books. I've got 6 more I think.

I did manage to complete the challenge (just barely). I won't be posting my wrap up post until Friday, so I'll let you know here.

Thanks for hosting this challenge. I had fun with Sookie and the gang.

I'm listening to book 9 as I type this. It's not going to be much of a review, but I think I'm going to make it :-).

Thanks for hosting this challenge. I've enjoyed reading the books, and I don't know if I would have gotten around to picking them up otherwise.

Thanks for stopping by. I read all comments and may respond here, via e-mail, or on your blog. I visit everyone who comments, but not necessarily right away.
