I did not plant a garden this year, so I can't step outback and pick one as I usually do...so sad

they are just lovely...

Beautiful tomatoes - and I just finished reading "Tomatoland" this past week!

Happy WW!

Yummy!!! Now all you need is some white bread, mayo, and salt and pepper. :)

My mouth is watering. I sometimes miss the days I had a veg garden.

They look perfect. Wish I planted this year.

Great photo. I think I'm having a warm tomato sandwhich for lunch.

This photo is fabulous! I love the various tones of red, the slight pop of yellow, and the mysterious purple in the upper left hand corner.

Bellissimo!

Mouth-watering!

Those are luscious & making me hungry even though I just had breakfast! I also truly love your permanent photo of the bridges. Did you take that as well? Where was it taken? Very very beautiful.

I can almost taste them!

Yumm they look like such a refreshing treat :)

I hope those are home-grown, they look delicious.

I have to say that I would rather eat a tomatoe, than any other kind of fruit, with the exception of a banana.

My favourite appetiser if we go for an Italian meal is Insalata Tricolore (tomatoes, mozzarella and avocado)

Off to get dinner, now you have made me feel hungry!!

Tomato season has begun. Mine are finally turning red too. Is this farmer's market or backyard?

Beth F 7/27/11, 1:34 PM

These are farm-fresh from my CSA -- our yard got too shady for vegetables so now we let someone else grow them for us. Also see: purple eggplant, white eggplant, and red leaf lettuce

Wow, those are some beauties! Our 'summer' is so late this year that I only have tiny green tomatoes now.

Those look delicious. Our tomatoes aren't ripe yet.

Marie 7/27/11, 5:23 PM

Red, luscious and delicous. This is one of the reasons I love summer.

Pam (@iwriteinbooks) 7/28/11, 6:19 PM

Oh good heavens, that looks delish!

Michelle 8/6/11, 4:31 PM

I bet those made a fantastic meal :)
