It's kinda sad to see empty playgrounds, but the kids will be back when the sun comes out again.

Leslie (Under My Apple Tree) 11/23/11, 2:25 AM

Awww, no one outside playing. At least there's no snow on them.

Lisa@ButteryBooks 11/23/11, 3:03 AM

HaHa! We both posted something about summer. I took my picture yesterday on a summery day, but a cold front came in last night and now it is frigid :( Summer is officially over down here.

I have a feeling it'll be a long winter, and a while before these get used again:)

Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving!

caite 11/23/11, 6:46 AM

it looks lonely....

Daryl 11/23/11, 7:53 AM

what a quaint playground all it needs are some kidlettes

Susan Adcox 11/23/11, 8:11 AM

I was at the playground with two grandchildren yesterday. It was just a touch chilly, but we had a great time.

Secret Mom Thoughts 11/23/11, 8:23 AM

It looks cold. I miss the playground.

Louis la Vache 11/23/11, 8:38 AM

Echoing what others have written, it looks cold and it seems to miss the sounds and movements of happy children scurrying around in it.

Beth Hoffman 11/23/11, 9:30 AM

I've always loved photos and paintings of empty playgrounds. Yours is wonderful!

catsynth 11/23/11, 9:35 AM

The colorful playground equipment stands out even stronger against the muted colors of the winter landscape. Sometimes empty places make for the best photos.

Kaye 11/23/11, 9:37 AM

It does look kind of sad. The way time seems to be racing by, it will be summer before you know it.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Karen Harrington 11/23/11, 9:59 AM

Something poetic about that.

Ed T. 11/23/11, 10:55 AM

Definitely a wintry feel to that image. Hopefully the down time will be put to good use, doing maintenance so that the playground will be ready to welcome the children back come spring.

Happy WW (and Thanksgiving)!

Zibilee 11/23/11, 11:06 AM

It's so strange to see a playground without a single child in it! I can imagine that it's way too cold for that right now, but the picture is very interesting!

colleen 11/23/11, 1:09 PM

It all looks so neat and inviting!

Nan 11/23/11, 2:36 PM

I found it sad and oddly symmetrical.

carol 11/23/11, 3:18 PM

How colorful! I bet kids love it.

Michelle 11/23/11, 3:19 PM

Sadly, it's a long wait until summer!

Dorte H 11/23/11, 3:50 PM

Can´t help it, but I wonder how many different stories you could write about that picture. Children´s book, cosy mystery, thriller....

Yvonne 11/23/11, 6:11 PM

Nice picture, but it makes me think winter will be long.

bermudaonion 11/23/11, 6:34 PM

I agree with Caite - it looks lonely!

Louis la Vache 11/23/11, 8:51 PM

«Louis» noticed your comment at Tulsa Gentleman that you like to photograph doorways. «Louis» hosts Monday Doorways and invites you to join in!

Dianne - Bunny Trails 11/23/11, 11:51 PM

Great composition and I love the colors!

Alice 11/24/11, 7:59 AM

It looks very organized. Lonely, yes, but strangely in order.
