I'm glad someone's been able to get out for a walk these first couple weeks of January. Between being sick and sub-zero temps, I've yet to take my camera for a walk this year, so--I've psoted a couple pics from a December walk.

Ah yes, the colorless landscape of January. While I'm not a fan of winter I do like the way the bare bones of the trees look without all the leaves in the way.

I've hardly left my house this winter, except to drive to work. So cold. We did have last Saturday and it reminded me of what it is like to be alive. Hopefully more of those sorts of days soon.

Here's my Wordless Wednesday: Oregon!

I like the stillness you've captured here. And the ambiguity of temps... A lovely, mysterious shot.

Beautiful scenery! Nicely treated.

It looks cold to me!

Looks cold! I love the way trees look in winter, but I'll be glad when it's time for them to have leaves again!

Once again you've captured an image that takes me back to childhood on the farm. The bare branches are making patterns of lace against the zinc-colored sky ... So beautiful and haunting. It makes me want to write a poem.

Beautiful lacy branches!

That is such a beautiful photo. On my drive to work in the mornings I have seen such beautiful sunrises. One of these days I will have to stop and see if I can capture one on camera.

So pretty- but I can't wait til they start getting leaves again.

so very well done ... the composition, the color, the 'rough' edges .. brava!

Looks like it was a chilly walk. It's almost like spring here in Reno, but it won't be good come summer if we don't get some rain and snow soon.

Stark and picturesque. I do like winter tree scenes.

Lovely picture! It makes me want to take a walk right before sunset. :-)

Your pictures are always so great. :)

Looks like a COLD walk!

Lovely! I took my first photos this year yesterday when we finally had a sunny day.
